Geely EX5 EV

The Geely EX5 is an all-electric SUV that exemplifies Geely Auto’s commitment to sustainable and advanced mobility solutions. Designed on the Geely Electric Architecture (GEA) platform, the EX5 is tailored for global markets, including Indonesia, with a focus on performance, efficiency, and cutting-edge features.

Performance and Powertrain

Equipped with a front-mounted electric motor, the EX5 delivers a robust 160 kW (approximately 215 horsepower) and a peak torque of 320 Nm. This setup enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds, offering a dynamic driving experience. The advanced 11-in-1 electric drive system integrates key components into a single unit, reducing weight and enhancing efficiency.

Battery and Charging

The EX5 offers two battery options: a 49.52 kWh pack providing up to 440 km range and a 60.22 kWh pack extending the range to 530 km, based on the CLTC standard. Utilizing Geely’s Aegis Short Blade Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology, the vehicle ensures safety and longevity. For convenience, the EX5 supports DC fast charging up to 100 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes.

Dimensions and Design

Measuring 4,615 mm in length, 1,901 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, the EX5 offers a spacious interior suitable for five passengers. The aerodynamic design achieves a drag coefficient of 0.269, enhancing both performance and efficiency.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the EX5 features a modern cabin equipped with a 15.4-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system runs on the Flyme Auto platform, providing seamless connectivity and user-friendly interface. Additional amenities include dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, and a premium audio system with 16 speakers.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The EX5 is equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), encompassing 16 intelligent features such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking. These systems enhance safety and provide a more comfortable driving experience.

Market Availability

Geely Auto has announced plans to introduce the EX5 to various international markets, including Indonesia. The company has partnered with local dealers to facilitate the vehicle’s entry, with official launches and deliveries expected to commence in the near future.
